COOKE MEDICAL - Main Street

Collingswood's newest physician has come home. Dr. Jack Cooke returned after years of military service to take over the practice of longtime town doctor, Dr. Wilson. He wants to be more than the doctor you see when you're sick. He wants to be a health partner for the whole community. Collingswood is cautiously optimistic.

THE TULIP DINER - Northwest Collingswood Breakfast all day. Lunch until three. Coffee strong enough to have opinions. The Tulip has anchored the northwest corner since before most of Collingswood can remember. If you're new to town, start here. You'll learn everything you need to know about Collingswood before your second cup.

THE FINAL CHAPTER - River Road Collingswood's independent bookshop has been selling books, starting arguments, and quietly judging your reading choices for as long as anyone can recall. The owner has strong opinions about reading order. They are not wrong. Browse freely. Leave with more than you intended.

OH FOR CAKE'S SAKE - Near City Works

The cupcakes alone are worth the drive. Collingswood's beloved bakery opens before dawn and sells out before noon on weekends. The layer cakes have won awards. The owner's energy is frankly alarming. Plan accordingly and arrive early.

KELLOGG LIBRARY - Broad Street Collingswood's public library is quieter than you'd expect for a town this complicated. Named for a founding family. The librarian has worked here for twenty-seven years and knows where everything is — including things you didn't know you were looking for. Free to all. Closed Sundays.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH - Main Street

First Baptist has stood on this corner since 1887 - the same year the Barber Banner was founded. The two institutions have maintained a collegial relationship ever since. Services at 9 am and 11 am on Sundays. The congregation is welcoming. The parking situation is complicated.
